PANews reported on July 21 that NIO's legal department issued a stern statement on July 19 regarding malicious online rumors: "Recently, some online accounts have maliciously published false information targeting our company and employees, deliberately fabricating and spreading false claims such as 'Ledao Automotive employees participating in manipulating black PR' and 'hiring internet trolls to attack competitors'. These statements seriously deviate from the facts and are purely malicious defamation and slander against Ledao Automotive and our employees. We have noticed that online accounts, including 'A Wen Identification Machine', have been reposting and commenting without verifying the content's authenticity. The alleged reporting screenshot circulating online, which claims to show 'virtual currency transaction details' and 'evidence compilation materials', is entirely fabricated and generated by AI. NIO has always adhered to legal and compliant operations and resolutely opposes any form of online black PR and internet trolling. Regarding this malicious rumor and defamation, our company has reported the matter to the public security authorities and will decisively take legal measures to pursue the legal responsibilities of the relevant parties, safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of our company and employees and defending a fair competitive environment in the industry."
