It's time to update your priors, friends.
L1/L2 tokens mattered when 100% of L2 chains were straight up gov tokens (read: a meme).
Things have changed, and we're now entering a valuation world that will be derived by what an ecosystem can generate beyond raw tx fees.

I’m gonna be honest, the only thing I know about megaETH is that it’s an L2
Based on that alone there should not be over 1B committed on it
No L2 has done well enough to warrant that commitment. No one likes L2s.
Idc if I midcurve everything, an L2 is still just a shitty L2. x.com/thehypeconomis…

Also, and I can't emphasize this enough: people still don't realize the performance difference we're going for.
It's not "turn the dial from 8 to 9" it's "I used to go grab coffee when I downloaded songs from the internet" to "Youtube is possible."

Articulating MegaETH's step-change in throughput has been tough for me.
Moments pop up that help me though.
Recently, a single dev minted ~500k NFTs in one shot. A single tx.
...and he still only used ~70% of the tx gas limit!
The world won't be the same once we're live.
