According to FOX 4, residents of Hood County, Texas, are planning a referendum to establish a new town called "Mitchell Bend" to limit noise from Bitcoin mining farms. Bitcoin mining company Mara Holdings has filed a lawsuit in federal court, arguing that the residents' petition is invalid and that officials colluded to prevent the election. The mining farm, which operates over 60,000 ASICs day and night, is causing noise pollution, according to residents. The court will decide whether to halt the operation before the official vote next week.
