According to ChainCatcher, KobeissiLetter's market analysis indicates that global ETF issuance is experiencing explosive growth, with a record 137 ETFs launched in October, a 19% year-on-year increase. This brings the total number of ETFs launched so far this year to 918, 25% higher than the previous record of 736 in 2024.
In October, 95 new equity ETFs were listed, accounting for 69% of the total; 15 new cryptocurrency ETFs were listed, more than double the number in September. Leveraged equity and structured ETFs accounted for nearly half of all new funds, totaling 67. At the current rate, the total number of ETFs issued in 2025 will exceed 1,100, marking a new historical surge in ETF issuance.
