The company has committed to purchasing $30 billion worth of Azure computing resources and leasing up to 1 GW (Gigawatt) of additional computing power, equivalent to the size of dozens of data centers.
Azure enterprise customers will be able to use the latest Claude family of products directly in the future, including:
- Claude Sonnet 4.5
- Claude Opus 4.1
- Claude Haiku 4.5
This makes Claude the only Frontier LLM globally to be available on all three major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud). Microsoft has committed to continuing to integrate Claude into its Copilot suite, including GitHub Copilot and Copilot Studio.
NVIDIA and Anthropic have established a deep technical collaboration to optimize models and future GPU architectures.
NVIDIA and Anthropic will embark on an unprecedented deep engineering collaboration, including:
- Collaborate on designing optimization strategies for next-generation models
- Tuning the efficiency of the model on architectures such as NVIDIA Grace Blackwell and Vera Rubin.
- Collaborate on planning future NVIDIA GPUs to meet Anthropic's inference and training needs.
Anthropic's initial computing power commitment will reach 1GW, and industry estimates suggest the cost may fall between $200 billion and $250 billion.
