On December 2nd, according to official news, OpenMind announced a partnership with Circle to promote the autonomous payment capabilities of embodied AI in the real world, based on the USDC stablecoin and the x402 payment protocol. The two companies will combine OpenMind's robot and intelligent agent systems with Circle's value transfer infrastructure, enabling robots to complete payment settlements for energy, services, and data without human intervention.
According to the introduction, the relevant applications will cover three types of scenarios:
1) Task marketplace, including task execution and payment collection for delivery, inspection, and other tasks;
2) Information market, selling local sensor and environmental data;
3) Resource markets, used for geographically related payments for resources such as charging, storage, and tool use.
USDC serves as the value carrier, and x402 as the underlying payment protocol, providing embodied AI with a cross-entity, cross-network machine-native payment method. OpenMind and Circle stated that the collaboration will serve as a foundational module for the future intelligent agent economy, and more practical deployment cases, such as automatic robot charging and offline payments, will be showcased in the coming months.
