YouTube now allows content creators in the US to receive payments in PayPal's PYUSD stablecoin. This is a significant step forward for the adoption of crypto on the world's leading video platform.

Content creators in the US can now choose PYUSD, a stablecoin issued by PayPal and backed by the US dollar, to receive YouTube earnings. According to May Zabaneh, head of crypto at PayPal, this option has been enabled for US users, as confirmed by Fortune . Google has also confirmed this information.
This feature was developed based on PayPal's Q3 2025 platform upgrade, allowing users to receive payments in PYUSD. YouTube quickly integrated this option for its content creators.
This information received positive support from the community , as people believed that receiving money via stablecoins would make transactions easier and faster.

YouTube's integration of PYUSD comes as more and more large institutions are adopting PYUSD . Yesterday, State Street Investment Management and Galaxy Asset Management announced plans to launch the State Street Galaxy Onchain Liquidity Sweep Fund (SWEEP) in early 2026.
This fund will use PYUSD as the payment unit for ongoing subscriptions and Capital , marking a significant step forward in the application of stablecoins to regulated financial products.

The stablecoin market in general has seen strong growth over the past few years. According to the IMF, cross-border flows involving USDT and USDC are projected to reach approximately $170 billion by 2025.
Against this backdrop, PYUSD also recorded remarkable growth. PYUSD's Capital capitalization increased from approximately $500 million at the beginning of January to a record high of around $3.9 billion in December.

Following closely behind is Solana with $1.046 billion, up 4.3% over the same period. Additionally, a small portion is distributed across Flow, Berachain, Plume, and Cardano – reflecting PayPal's multi- chain strategy for this stablecoin.
