On December 15, according to Zhitong Finance, the National Data Administration of China, the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, and the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Building the Digital Land-Sea New Corridor. The Memorandum aims to deepen cooperation between China and Singapore under the strategic connectivity demonstration project, jointly empower the construction of the land-sea new corridor through digital transformation, and create a smart economic corridor for the future.
According to the memorandum, the three parties will focus on practical cooperation in the following areas: First, digital connectivity. Within the framework of bilateral digital rules, they will promote the safe and orderly flow of data across borders through interconnection and cooperation in digital infrastructure, and explore the construction of efficient, convenient, and secure digital channels. Second, digital technology and innovation. They will encourage and support enterprises and research institutions from both countries to conduct joint research and development and application cooperation in fields such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and big data, and share experiences and achievements in smart city construction. Third, digital talent exchange and training. Through holding seminars, conducting skills certification and talent exchange programs, they will strengthen the training of professional talents in the digital field and provide solid talent support for the development of the digital economy.
