There’s been a miscommunication. @base should communicate more clearly that our efforts to build a new social network IS how we can best support Base builders. A social network is the most viral, fastest way to bring 1B ppl together on the internet. Especially DAUs. Base’s goal from day 1 has been to bring 1B users onchain. If successful, on an app that’s a funded wallet with its own App Store, every Base builder will be 1000x more successful. Content coins help creators earn, which brings creators, their content, and their patrons to a new onchain social network, which will be a 100x better distribution mechanism than CB itself and 1000x better than anything else crypto has today. It’s how we believe we can grow the pie. So if you’re onchain and in crypto, buy in. We can do this together, it’s going to take years and be hard. But it’s worth it. We believe this is the best way for Base, Base builders, and crypto to succeed. And a massive thank you to those who are doing that today. We will also be better about understanding Base builders’ love language, and making sure we support them in the ways they care about. Builders have always been first class citizens on Base, that will never change. We spend a ton of time and resources supporting builders already, and we will make sure we continue to get better.
