Abe Founder: "My $15 million purchase of AAVE was not intended to expand my influence."

Stani Kulechov, founder of cryptocurrency lending protocol AAVE, recently clarified that his purchase of $15 million worth of AAVE was not intended to expand his governance influence. He explained, “It is true that I recently purchased $15 million worth of AAVE, but I did not use it for governance voting.” Previously, a proposal was submitted to Aave DAO to absorb the intellectual property (IP) and shares of Aave Labs, the developer of AAVE, and make Aave Labs a subsidiary of the DAO, but it was rejected. At the time, Kulechov’s purchase of a large amount of AAVE sparked controversy over his expansion of influence.
