According to Foresight News , OKX founder Star stated that wallet theft commonly falls into several categories: the risk of centralized private keys in DEX bot-type products, code vulnerabilities or malicious intent in self-custodied wallets, compromised user devices or data leaks, and the structural dependence of automated strategies on private key custody. OKX Wallet's upcoming Smart Account will utilize TEE technology to automate policy execution without custodial private keys, resolving this long-standing security challenge.
Star added, "The correct direction for the evolution of wallet security should be that private key security and ease of use are not contradictory. The design philosophy of OKX Pay Wallet combines institutional-grade security and risk control systems with users' local Passkey/self-control. OKX Pay is currently still a conceptual product, but in the coming year, we will continue to introduce more powerful capabilities to better protect the assets of ordinary users."
