Mixed Martial Arts Group Limited (NYSE American: MMA, hereinafter referred to as MMA.INC), a New York Stock Exchange listed company, announced today (30th) that it has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform owned by the Trump family. The two parties will jointly promote the application of blockchain and stablecoin technology in the global combat sports industry.
According to the announcement, the core content of this collaboration includes: jointly designing and issuing a utility token for MMA.INC, and integrating USD1, a USD-pegged stablecoin issued by WLFI, into the foundational layer of the MMA.INC on-chain ecosystem. MMA.INC points out that this is the first time the combat sports industry has adopted blockchain technology on a large scale and in a systematic way, aiming to create a practical Web3 economic system for over 700 million combat sports enthusiasts worldwide.
USD1 becomes a core payment and incentive tool
According to the cooperation plan, USD1 will serve as the core payment and incentive medium on the MMA.INC platform. In the future, fighters, fans, coaches, and gyms will all be able to obtain tangible rewards through on-chain interactions. The official explanation is that USD1 is a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar, designed to reduce price volatility risk and enhance the stability and predictability of the overall ecosystem.
The collaboration covers multiple areas, including token architecture design, on-chain economic model construction, stablecoin reserve management, treasury operations, platform technology integration, joint marketing and promotion, and ecosystem governance. MMA.INC stated that by introducing blockchain mechanisms, community participation will become more transparent, and reward distribution will be more incentivizing.
A practical token model centered on "achievement"
A key highlight of this collaboration is the launch of the MMA.INC utility token system, pegged to USD1. Platform users will accumulate experience points (XP) by training, watching content, receiving coaching guidance, or participating in community activities. These XP points will be transparently recorded on the blockchain and can be redeemed for real rewards.
MMA.INC emphasizes that the model prioritizes "achievement over speculation," with rewards distributed based on users' efforts and progress rather than simply financial investment. This avoids excessive financialization and allows economic growth to be built on genuine participation and long-term value.
Multi-platform integration and global promotion
According to the memo, WLFI will integrate USD1 into multiple platforms under MMA.INC, including the gym management system BJJLink, the training tool TrainAlta, the marketing platform Hype, and the community and content website MixedMartialArts.com. In the future, users will be able to directly use the stablecoin for payments, earn rewards, or unlock exclusive features, with related technical support provided by WLFI's on-chain infrastructure.
In addition, the two parties also plan to launch a joint brand marketing campaign to promote the Web3 ecosystem to boxers, gyms and fan networks around the world, expanding the practical use cases of the Web3 ecosystem.
Consultant-level collaboration strengthens compliance and long-term development.
At the governance level, WLFI will join MMA.INC's strategic advisory board, responsible for guiding token economic design, regulatory compliance strategies, and long-term stable development direction. Donald Trump Jr., co-founder of World Liberty Financial and strategic advisor to MMA.INC, stated that this collaboration combines the strengths of both parties in technology and assets, which will help accelerate MMA.INC's expansion in the Web3 space.
Nick Langton, founder and CEO of MMA Group, pointed out that this partnership successfully combines the passion of combat sports with modern digital finance. WLFI's expertise in stablecoins and payment technology will help MMA.INC serve the global martial arts and combat community more effectively.
