Proposal to Chia non-protocol revenue with AAVE
Stani Kulecho said AAVE will soon announce a formal proposal, including operating mechanisms, to Chia off-protocol revenue with AAVE holders.
Kulecho stated that the upcoming proposal will attempt to build a framework to support a long-term vision while providing adequate protections for the DAO and AAVE Token holders. He delivered this message following recent disagreements over governance within the community.
We believe the most effective path forward is to allow visionary teams to independently build products on top of the permissionless AAVE protocol, while the protocol itself generates revenue through increased usage and income.
Long-term vision: expanding assets and new lending models.
AAVE aims to unite the community through a long-term vision, avoiding short-term conflicts and deviations driven by ulterior motives.
According to Kulecho, the focus is on expanding the protocol to support new asset classes like RWA, along with new lending models such as consumer lending and institutional lending. Simultaneously, AAVE continues to serve existing DeFi needs while seeking to expand into larger markets.
The emphasized approach is to allow visionary teams to build products on the AAVE protocol without licensing, while the protocol itself generates revenue through increased usage and income.
