According to a report by CoinDesk on January 13th, 21Shares' Bitcoin and Gold Exchange Traded Product (ETP) BOLD officially began trading on the London Stock Exchange. This product offers physically backed exposure to Bitcoin and gold within a single investment vehicle, aiming to provide Bitcoin-like returns with lower volatility.
BOLD combines two of the world's most liquid alternative assets into a single risk-weighted portfolio, making it the UK's first listed product to offer both assets in a single trading instrument. Since its launch in Switzerland in April 2022, the product has achieved a 122.5% return in pounds sterling by the end of 2025, outperforming Bitcoin and gold during the same period.
