PANews reported on January 14 that Gate founder Dr. Han commented on the X platform regarding Apple's collaboration with Google to upgrade Siri with the Gemini model, stating that the core of this move is not "changing the model," but rather a significant shift in the role of AI—from a tool that passively responds to problems to an intelligent agent that is deeply integrated into applications and proactively completes tasks for users.
Dr. Han points out that the key to truly unlocking the value of AI lies in whether it enters high-frequency, real-world execution scenarios, and Web3 is one of the most natural directions for its application. Through AI Agents, users do not need to understand complex on-chain logic; the intelligent agent can understand their intentions and complete interactions with smart contracts, abstracting cumbersome operations into executable paths.
Dr. Han stated that Smart Web3 is the direction Gate is pursuing: "What we are building is Smart Web3, making AI Agents a bridge between users and smart contracts, and reconstructing on-chain interaction." As "task-oriented AI" becomes a common choice for tech giants, the integration of AI and Web3 is moving towards a more imaginative next stage.
