On January 16, Kaito founder Yu Hu released a timeline of recent events on the X platform. He stated that he received an email from his account manager on January 13 regarding a possible reassessment, and on January 14, he received legal notification from X and responded that same day. On January 15, he and the public simultaneously learned of Nikita's announcement. Yu Hu stated that he had previously received legal notification from X and had resolved the issue amicably; therefore, within this brief window, waiting for further clarification and discussion before making a unilateral announcement was reasonable.
Yu Hu also stated that Yaps has been shut down, and Kaito plans to expand beyond cross-platform (TikTok, YouTube) and cryptocurrency spheres through Kaito Studio in 2026. He added that Kaito Studio has been in development for several months and will serve as a new model to complement Yaps. This change will not affect Kaito Launchpad, Kaito Pro, Kaito API, or the upcoming Kaito Markets; more roadmap details will be released in the future.
