Ok, so I've been getting a bit of heat for putting together that list of projects that are leaving Cosmos, so I want to dig a bit deeper into the direction the ecosystem is moving, and why putting together a list of everything that is being built is so much more difficult. So let's start with what is being built in "Cosmos". I had a few replies saying I need to look at the plethora of new chains, for example: Ondo, XRPL EVM, Stable or Telegram/TAC. Some even mentioned I should look at Cronos, BNB or Polygon. Does anyone see the problem here? Did anyone even know these chains are Cosmos? It used to be that you could head over to Osmosis, knowing that every chain in the "internet of blockchains" could fully communicate with one another, and trade any and all of these assets. But it seems the ability for Cosmos chains to communicate with one another died at some point. And with it, the whole fundamental idea of Cosmos died with it as well. You can't trade any of these new chains on Osmosis. These chains don't communicate with "Cosmos" in any way. There's no value accrual back to Atom, or any other chain in the ecosystem. Notice how Osmosis is just a DEX for old tokens nowadays? It's on purpose with the new Cosmos. And it's horrible to see. At what point did IBC become abandoned for new Cosmos chains? And did they stop being Cosmos once they stopped being communicatable with the wider ecosystem? To make matters worse, have you noticed what's going on with Solana at the moment? Just look at their latest post: "You will buy every asset on Solana". They're having a huge push into bringing every asset to their chain. Notice recently that STRK is now tradable on Solana? Or ZORA? This is exactly what Cosmos should be. Don't abandon your Internet of Blockchain thesis and let another ecosystem steal your lunch. Get Cosmos tokens tradable on Osmosis again. Get IBC part of the core stack, and open up the ecosystem once more!
