US-listed company Aether acquires encrypted communications and media platform Coinstack

Mars Finance reports that on January 19th, Aether Holdings' Alpha Edge Media, a Nasdaq-listed fintech group, acquired Coinstack, an institutional-grade cryptocurrency communications and media platform. This acquisition aims to expand the group's financial content and data business. Coinstack currently boasts over 340,000 subscribers. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The company stated that Coinstack will retain its original brand and operate independently, while receiving support from Aether's technology, analytics infrastructure, and distribution channels. Founded in December 2020, Coinstack serves a global professional investor base including hedge funds, venture capital firms, family offices, and digital asset market participants, primarily providing curated insights into Bitcoin, Ethereum, decentralized finance, and broader blockchain market trends. Aether stated that this acquisition strengthens its expanding media and data ecosystem by adding a highly interactive, institutionally focused communications channel, complementing the company's existing analytics, research, and content services. Aether CEO Nicolas Lin stated, "Coinstack is a highly strategic complement to Alpha Edge Media." He specifically highlighted the platform's subscriber base, engagement metrics, and established brand value, stating that the acquisition will help expand audience reach, deepen content services, and support data-driven initiatives for future digital assets and the broader financial markets. Following the acquisition, Coinstack will benefit from Aether's technology stack and analytics capabilities, while Alpha Edge Media plans to gradually integrate Coinstack's content and audience insights into its broader platform ecosystem.
