Philippine police rescue kidnapped Chinese citizens; suspects demand millions of dollars in cryptocurrency.

According to Mars Finance, market sources indicate that Philippine police recently rescued a Chinese citizen who had been illegally detained by Chinese kidnappers in an apartment in Pasay City. Two suspects were arrested at the scene, and two others remain at large. The victim claimed he was threatened with a $1 million ransom and had already transferred over $400,000 in cryptocurrency. The suspects also allegedly threatened him with organ trafficking. Police seized duct tape, knives, handcuffs, and other items at the scene and will file charges related to kidnapping and extortion.
