According to ChainCatcher, the Ethereum Foundation has officially established a post-quantum team and listed post-quantum security as its highest strategic priority.
The team, led by cryptography engineer Thomas Coratger, includes researcher Justin Drake who states that leanVM will serve as a cornerstone of this strategy. The Ethereum Foundation has established a $1 million Poseidon Prize to enhance hash functions in zero-knowledge proof systems, following a $1 million Proximity Prize last year. Lighthouse and Grandine have already implemented post-quantum consensus development networks, and Prysm is expected to follow suit, launching a bi-weekly developer conference on post-quantum transactions next month, led by Antonio Sanso.
