Police in Seoul are searching for a man who allegedly stole 6 million won (approximately $4,500) in a fraudulent in-person cryptocurrency deal, TV Chosun reported. According to the Seoul Gangnam Police Station, the suspect used the popular South Korean second-hand marketplace app Danggeun to lure a victim with an offer to sell cryptocurrency below the market rate. The theft reportedly occurred on Jan. 17 in the Nonhyeon-dong neighborhood of Gangnam, where the suspect fled with the victim's cash after meeting for the supposed transaction.
