According to Foresight News , blockchain investigator ZachXBT commented on Y Combinator's decision to allow startups to choose to accept investment in USDC, stating, "If a startup makes a small mistake and sends $500,000 in USDC to the wrong address, Circle will refuse to provide further assistance even if law enforcement requests it. Circle claims to be developer-friendly, but its actions are often insufficient when it comes to protecting user interests. In contrast, Tether and Paxos are generally more appropriate in this regard. USDC is not truly decentralized; its smart contract has a freezing function, and the terms of service clearly stipulate how this function should be used."
According to a previous Foresight News report, ZachXBT accused Circle founder Jeremy Allaire of promoting dubious tokens, causing PURCH's market capitalization to plummet by over 90% from its peak.
