The Bithumb airdrop blunder has been resolved. The actual loss was 1788 $BTC (approximately $120 million USD), which the platform will bear.

It's said that South Korean law stipulates that if an exchange causes a user to profit due to its own error, the profit cannot be recovered.

Furthermore, the platform will refund the difference and provide a 10% compensation to users who sold BTC at a lower price. All users received 20,000 Korean won in compensation at the time of the incident (please don't use BTC as the unit again this time), and there's also a 7-day period of free trading.

Bithumb suffered a significant loss this time, but their approach is also quite magnanimous. 😂
