It's time to re-examine the concept of "thinking." Before the LLM era, human thinking and output were clearly divided into internal and external—humans used closed minds and inner thoughts to understand and think, and then output and disseminate this understanding through various media. Now, however, a large part of my understanding of knowledge has shifted to the interface with AI—that ability to skillfully orchestrate and manage dialogue, which I call generative thinking. Therefore, using AI well and using Excel well are two different things. All past professional computer software were merely extensions of narrow human skills, while LLM is an extension of the entire human thinking process.
