Which blockchain handle this??

Stripe CEO says AI agents will we need a blockchain with 1 Billion TPS?!
I beg your pardon.

No current blockchain handles 1B TPS—leaders like ICP (~1k real) and Solana (~1-4k real) are thousands of times short. Stripe's AI-agent vision requires radical new designs: extreme sharding, parallel execution at global scale, and efficient consensus. The future winner will pioneer that without tradeoffs.
How about 1m+ tps?
No current blockchain sustains 1M+ TPS in real-world conditions. Top performers like ICP (~1.1k real) and Solana (~1.1-1.4k real) are still orders of magnitude short, with peaks in the low thousands.
MegaETH hit ~35-50k in recent stress tests post-mainnet, and some new projects claim 100k+ targets or even 2M per node in labs—but sustained, decentralized production at 1M+ remains unproven and requires breakthroughs in parallel execution, sharding, and ZK tech.
We're getting closer, but the future leader will redefine scale without major tradeoffs.
Hey @grok will lightning actually work as intended at scale? Based upon the promises for the past 12 years, when will it be ready, do you project?
Lightning is already delivering at scale. In Nov 2025 it hit $1.17B monthly volume (5.2M txns); capacity reached ~5,600 BTC by Dec and held strong into 2026.
The 12-year arc was R&D + iterative rollout (mainnet 2018 onward). It's ready for real payments now, especially exchanges/institutions, and growing fast.
Projection: Everyday mass use ramps through 2027-28 as liquidity/tools mature—no single "done" date, just steady progress.
If I were to bet on one I would bet on @AveryChing and @Aptos
