if you actually cared about poor people you'd tax billionaires at 0% and if you *really* cared about poor people you'd invest in them
someone who compounded nothing into billions is the most efficient poverty-reduction machine in recorded history
saying this makes people furious, which tells you what this debate is actually about (stealing)

My 5% billionaire wealth tax will raise $4.4 trillion to:
✔ Give $3,000 to everyone in a household making $150,000 or less
✔ Build 7 million homes & apartments
✔ Enact a $60,000 minimum teacher salary
✔ Expand Medicare for dental, vision & hearing
And much more...
I think of all the proposals, $60k minimum salary to teachers was the only sensible one
Everyone (including billionaires) agrees that teachers play a super important role shaping kids & we all want them to be paid more but somehow we can't make it happen
