Iran's foreign minister condemned the US attack on Iranian warships.

According to Mars Finance, Iranian Foreign Minister Araqchi said today (March 5) that the United States' surprise attack on an Iranian warship in international waters "will ultimately regret the precedent it set." Araqchi stated on social media that the Iranian frigate, carrying approximately 130 people, was "a guest of the Indian Navy" and was attacked in international waters 2,000 miles (approximately 3,218 kilometers) from the Iranian coast without any prior warning. US Defense Secretary Hergsays said on March 4 that a US submarine torpedoed and sank an Iranian warship "believing it was safe in international waters" in the Indian Ocean on March 3.
