Been reading about prediction markets lately and noticed something pretty obvious.
On Polymarket, big events usually have solid liquidity.
But most smaller markets are basically dead because:
▸ no initial liquidity
▸ wide spreads
▸ no volume so traders just skip it
Recently I saw @Xmarketapp trying something kinda interesting: Pre-sale Market.
Instead of opening the market first, they raise funds from the community first.
1. Creator drops a yes/no question
2. Community seeds USDT in presale
3. If it hits softcap (like 100 USDT) → market opens
4. Then it moves to P2P trading
If it doesn’t hit softcap → everyone gets refunded.
What’s interesting to me is the incentive design:
▸ Creator gets 9 percent trading fees
▸ Presale backers get 21 percent fees
So 30 percent of fees go back to the community.
If a market ends up getting good volume, the creator and early seeders could keep earning fees over time.
Looks like XMarket is trying to unlock way more niche markets, kinda interesting to watch.

what is it?
