On March 9th, according to Coinbob's monitoring of popular addresses , WTI crude oil (CL) trading volume on Hyperliquid has continued to climb since it first surpassed $100 million on March 3rd and entered the top ten. As of today, its 24-hour trading volume has exceeded $910 million, representing a week-on-week increase of 9110%. Currently, US stocks and commodities occupy six of the top ten trading pairs by volume.
Before market attention focused on RWA, several well-known on-chain traders and institutions had already positioned themselves in the US stock and commodity sectors. Among them:
CBB (X: Cbb0fe): Short CL (crude oil), EWY (South Korean stock market), NATGAS (natural gas), and a basket of AI supply chain and technology stocks with a total of $36.3 million, and long on gold with $4.76 million. This may be intended for cross-market arbitrage or profit through high-frequency market making. Its largest short position in CL had an average price of $78.3 and was opened on March 4th.
Continue Capital (founder Pima): Long in NVDA (Nvidia) and MU (Micron), resulting in a total unrealized loss of $960,000. The average price of the NVDA position was $190, and the position was opened on November 17th of last year.
Sky co-founder RuneKek: He opened a long position of $8.7 million in WTI crude oil (CL) and Brent crude oil (BRENTOIL). The average price of the CL long position was $92, with a floating profit of $820,000. The position was opened on March 7. He also hedged with short positions in ETH and the Nasdaq 100 (XYZ100), with a size of approximately $5.4 million.
Abraxas Capital: Short GOLD with $26 million, with a floating profit of $920,000, at an average price of $5,273. The position was opened on January 26.
Loracle (X: loraclexyz): Short CL (crude oil) with a size of $7.8 million, at an average price of $92, and opened the position on March 7. Also short NVDA (Nvidia) and PAXG (gold) with a size of $5.6 million. Currently, both positions are in a loss, with a floating loss of $1.1 million.
Ray (X: 0xRay518): Initiated a long in NVDA (Nvidia) on February 18th, with a previous holding size of $16.5 million and an average price of $190. Closed the position five days ago at an average price of $178 and temporarily exited the market.
