Imagine a bill that protected the lawyer’s job for a transition period and funded her to become wildly more productive with AI tools. Imagine the capacity growth in legal aid nonprofits, in community justice organisations, in the networks that help people navigate state-funded disability care, if every professional in those organisations could do three times the work with AI assistance instead of being “protected” from it.
