On the 12th, BlackRock launched the iShares Staking Ethereum Trust (ETHB), an Ethereum (ETH) exchange-traded fund that combines staking returns. The product provides exposure to spot Ethereum and staking rewards simultaneously.
2. US Senate delays cryptocurrency bill
U.S. Senate Majority Leader John Thune stated on the 13th that it would be difficult for the cryptocurrency CLARITY Act to pass Congress before April. The Senate plans to prioritize the SAVE America Act over the bill.
3. US SEC and CFTC Cooperate on Cryptocurrency Regulation
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) signed a memorandum of understanding on the 12th to cooperate in financial market supervision. The two agencies agreed to expand joint regulation and information sharing in emerging technology markets, including cryptocurrencies.
