Bitcoin's network hashrate has fallen from over 1 ZH/s to 800 EH/s. That sounds bad. But for miners who stay hashing, it’s good news. Later this week, network difficulty could adjust downward by ~8%. Remaining miners split the same 450 BTC daily reward among fewer participants. Meanwhile, Bitcoin has surged back above $70,000 as traders react to turmoil in the Middle East. The efficient miners just won twice: easier difficulty and higher Bitcoin prices.
