According to ChainCatcher, Multicoin Capital has announced that Spencer Applebaum and Shayon Sengupta have been promoted to general partners and will jointly serve as heads of Multicoin Capital's venture capital business.
Over the past few years, the two have taken on greater responsibility at all levels of the business. They have not only consistently identified, initiated, and led investment projects more frequently, but have also gradually assumed greater leadership in Multicoin's strategy, operations, and long-term development direction. Spencer and Shayon both joined the fund early on—having worked at the company for over eight and five years, respectively.
