According to a report by Press TV, a Odaily-controlled news channel controlled by the Iranian government, an Iranian government official issued a statement saying that Iran has rejected the US proposal and insists that the war will only end on Iran's own terms and timetable. The official, who is familiar with the details of the Iranian government, stated that Iran will not allow Trump to decide when the war ends. He also emphasized Tehran's determination to continue its defense and inflict "heavy blows" on the enemy until its demands are met. The official outlined five specific conditions for Iran to agree to end the war, including:
① Completely cease the enemy's "aggression and assassination" operations.
② Establish specific mechanisms to ensure that war will not be imposed on Iran again.
③ Guarantee and clearly define the payment of compensation and repair costs for war losses.
④ End the war on all fronts and across all participating resistance organizations in the region.
⑤ The international community recognizes and guarantees Iran's sovereign right to exercise jurisdiction over the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran has conveyed to all goodwill intermediaries that a ceasefire is contingent on accepting all of its conditions. The official emphasized, "There will be no negotiations before then," and reiterated that Iran's defensive operations will continue until these conditions are met. (Jin Shi)
