Coinbase has removed the page that required users to enter a seed phrase in plain text.

According to TechFlow TechFlow, on March 26, Yu Xian, founder of SlowMist, posted on the X platform that Coinbase has taken offline the page that requires users to enter plaintext seed phrase. He pointed out that the security model of online web pages is very low for wallets, far lower than that of extensions and apps; the practice of online web pages collecting plaintext seed phrase is easily imitated and learned by phishing websites, and it has long been a common phishing technique.
