According to ChainCatcher, U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis stated that the latest amendments to the CLARITY Act will provide protection for DeFi and developers, and refuted crypto lawyer Jake Chervinsky's concerns that non-custodial developers might be included as money transmitters and subject to KYC obligations, saying that the relevant provisions have been adjusted in bipartisan negotiations.
The bill is expected to enter the Senate Banking Committee's review stage in April.
