Stargate expansion halted; Microsoft takes over Crusoe Texas data center Phase 2.

Mars Finance reported on March 30th that Microsoft recently reached a cooperation agreement with data center developer Crusoe to officially lease 700 megawatts of computing power capacity at its Abilene campus Phase II project in Texas, further solidifying its artificial intelligence computing infrastructure layout. It is understood that the Abilene campus in Texas is the site of the first phase of the "Stargate" AI data center project, a collaboration between OpenAI and Oracle, with a first-phase scale of 1.2 gigawatts. The second phase of the campus was originally planned for expansion of the "Stargate" project. With OpenAI adjusting its computing power deployment and allocating the additional capacity to other areas, Microsoft successfully secured this leasing cooperation.
