SAO PAULO, April 2 (Reuters) - Brazil oil regulator ANP said on Thursday it has kicked off an inspection into state-run oil firm Petrobras' ⁠auctions of liquefied petroleum gas, citing suspicions of price gouging.

The announcement comes after Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said earlier ⁠in the day that he would seek to annul an ⁠auction at which Petrobras sold LPG at prices ⁠he described as too high ⁠due to the war in Iran.
