French prosecutors drop probe into Paris Olympics 2024 chief Estanguet

PARIS, April 3 (Reuters) - French financial prosecutors have dropped an investigation of Paris 2024 Olympics chief Tony Estanguet regarding his salary, the prosecutor's department said ⁠on Friday. It said the investigation, which looked into Estanguet's salary in his role as president of the 2024 Olympics organising committee, had found ⁠no case of criminal wrongdoing. Estanguet, a three-time Olympic canoeing champion before taking ⁠charge of the Paris 2024 organising committee, had said ⁠he was not involved in the ⁠decision on his salary.
