On the 4th, Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi posted on her X (formerly Twitter) account regarding the securing of essential supplies in response to the situation in the Middle East. Regarding petrochemical products derived from naphtha (crude gasoline), she wrote that "currently, there are no cases of immediate supply disruptions." She added that the necessary amounts of crude oil and petroleum products are secured throughout Japan. She explained that the government is strengthening measures to address supply imbalances and bottlenecks in distribution. She then emphasized that "the Takaichi Cabinet will mobilize all its resources to respond meticulously."
