
PANews reported on May 6th that, according to The Block , Y Combinator will hold its first in-person interview session in New York, focusing on crypto and fintech startups. Selected teams will join the San Francisco round in the summer of 2026 and receive a standard $ 500,000 investment in exchange for a 7% equity stake. YC previously offered the option to distribute investments through the Circle stablecoin USDC . The interviews will be held in New York on May 21st . YC states that New York is becoming a key ecosystem for stablecoins, asset tokenization, trading, proxy e-commerce, and capital markets. Nemil Dalal, the visiting partner responsible for crypto, stated that more self-proclaimed "non-crypto" fintech teams will also utilize on-chain infrastructure in the future.
