AC: USDC yield on Sonic reaches 5.11%, DeFi is far from its peak.

According to Mars Finance, on May 9th, Andre Cronje shared an article stating that USDC's annualized yield on the Sonic network has reached 5.11%, while USDT and ftUSD on Ethereum have yielded 5.27%. Cronje emphasized that this yield does not rely on token incentives, subsidies, or a points system, nor does it require cyclical leverage, staking unlock periods, or exit queues, while supporting instant redemption and liquidity. He stated that DeFi is far from its peak, and "there is still a lot of room for exploration and building in the on-chain world."
