LMAX Group supports institutional clients in storing digital assets in LMAX Custody via kiosks and using them as collateral for various asset transactions.
The portal supports spot foreign exchange, precious metals, Contracts for Difference (CFD), perpetual futures, and digital asset trading. Customers can use digital assets as collateral for transactions without selling them.
The kiosk includes deposit and withdrawal management, API credential management, WalletConnect, security controls, and financial management functions.
David Mercer, CEO of Elmax Group, stated, "High-efficiency collateral will be the foundation of modern capital markets," and explained that the company provides a compliant method for institutions to integrate digital assets into their core trading infrastructure.
This launch is part of Elmax Group's strategy to bridge the traditional financial market with the digital asset market. It is designed to enable institutions to utilize their cryptocurrencies for trading across various asset classes.
Recently, global financial institutions are also expanding their experiments with on-chain collateral. Franklin Templeton announced a program with Binance to utilize tokenized money market fund (MMF) equity as collateral for institutional transactions.
The U.S. Depository and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) also plans to launch a pilot for tokenized securities trading this coming July. With the goal of launching a formal service in October, DTCC is developing a trading structure for tokenized real assets that includes the same investor protections as traditional assets.
