Hacking incidents continue unabated in the cryptocurrency market. The latest development is that Thorchain ($RUNE) has been attacked.
According to recent news, a critical claim has emerged regarding THORChain, stating that the protocol may have been attacked on Bitcoin ($BTC), Ethereum ($ETH), $BNB Chain, and Base networks.
The potential loss is estimated at $10 million.
According to a post by blockchain company Cyvers Alert, the stolen funds include: “USDT, USDC, WBTC, DAI, THOR, LUSD, XRUNE, GUSD, AAVE, LINK, FOX, etc.”
All stolen funds are being converted to Ethereum ($ETH) and consolidated into a single address.
PeckShieldAlert stated in its post that approximately $10 million worth of cryptocurrency was stolen from THORChain. This includes 36.75 $BTC ($3 million) and assets worth approximately $7 million from BNBChain, Ethereum, and Base.
Following this news, the price of Thorchain ($RUNE) dropped.
