According to Foresight News , Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has published an article outlining his personal views on the future development of the Ethereum Foundation. The foundation is undergoing a transformation, becoming a smaller, more focused organization that prioritizes long-term sustainability over broad coverage. He emphasized that the foundation currently holds only about 0.16% of ETH and has no consistent revenue stream from staking or transaction fees. Therefore, it must focus on work that is crucial to achieving Ethereum's core values of censorship resistance, openness, privacy, and security (CROPS) and that other entities cannot easily undertake.
The Ethereum Foundation should not be the "center" of Ethereum, but rather exist as "a node" with a clear mission. Ethereum should strive for "impressive" performance in terms of CROPS, rather than simply pursuing maximum TPS. The Foundation will gradually stabilize its new form over the next few months, while encouraging other organizations to play a role in areas that the Foundation cannot or should not cover, such as more actively supporting the value of ETH as an asset.
