Rubio: "Securing credible solutions regarding Iran's Strait of Hormuz and nuclear issues"

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that a "highly credible" plan exists that includes the possibility of Iran opening the Strait of Hormuz and substantive, time-bound negotiations on the nuclear issue. Secretary Rubio said, "This plan is receiving broad support in the Gulf region and is gaining significant support globally," adding, "Every country we have visited understands that this is very reasonable and the right step for the world." Furthermore, meeting with reporters during his visit to India, he reaffirmed that President Trump is not rushing for an agreement, emphasizing, "The President will not sign a bad deal." He added, "We must give diplomatic means sufficient opportunity to yield results before considering other options."
