The Bhutanese government has gradually sold 9,180 BTC, worth approximately $900 million, over the past 11 months, EmberCN reported. The average selling price was calculated to be around $98,067. According to on-chain data, Bhutan's BTC holdings had increased to approximately 12,200 BTC by early 2025, when its mining operations ceased. The government reportedly began selling in earnest in June of the same year. Currently, the Bhutanese government holds about 3,021 BTC, valued at around $234 million.
