ToggleUS President Donald Trump once again demonstrated his signature "art of the deal" of applying maximum pressure. Just as global markets held their breath awaiting a US-Iran ceasefire agreement, Trump published a lengthy article on his self-created social media platform, Truth Social, that shook global geopolitics, directly confronting Middle Eastern leaders.
US-Iran negotiations are progressing smoothly: "Either a great deal is reached, or we return to the battlefield."
Trump began his post with some good news, stating that negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran were "going well." However, he immediately laid down his groundwork, emphasizing that there were only two possible outcomes:
"It's either a 'Great Deal' for everyone, or 'no deal'—meaning a return to the battlefield, on a larger and more intense scale than ever before. And nobody wants to see that happen!"
A strong statement names eight Middle Eastern countries: those who don't sign the Abraham Accords are out.
Trump revealed that he had intensive phone calls with several prominent leaders in the Middle East and the Islamic world last Saturday. The list of those named can be described as an "all-star lineup" of Middle Eastern leaders, including:
- Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS)
- President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin Zayed (MBZ)
- Qatari Emir Tamim and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman
- Pakistan Army Chief of Staff Asim Munir
- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan
- Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi
- King Abdullah II of Jordan
- King Hamad of Bahrain
Trump made it clear to these leaders that since the United States had invested so much effort in piecing together this complex geopolitical puzzle, as a minimum requirement, these countries must "mandatorily" and simultaneously sign the Abraham Accords . Trump specifically named Saudi Arabia and Qatar as needing to take the lead in signing immediately, with others required to follow suit. Trump warned:
"If they don't sign, they shouldn't be part of this agreement in the first place, because that would demonstrate ill intent."
A game BTC: Inviting Iran to join in, creating the strongest Middle East in 5000 years.
Trump highly praised the Abraham Accords for the enormous financial, economic, and social prosperity they brought to existing member states, such as the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, Sudan, and Kazakhstan. But his subsequent remarks completely overturned the traditional diplomatic framework.
He dropped a bombshell, stating that in his calls with the aforementioned leaders, everyone agreed that once the US-Iran agreement was finalized, "it would be an unparalleled honor to have Iran also become part of the Abraham Accords!"
In his concluding remarks, Trump confidently summarized that this would be the most important document ever signed by these countries long embroiled in conflict, bringing "real power, strength, and peace" to the Middle East in its 5,000-year history. He has formally ordered the U.S. delegation to immediately begin the historic process of incorporating these countries into the Abraham Accords.
