Do you remember the Real Yield narrative? Last year it received considerable attention, but now it is rarely mentioned. In other words, have Real Yield tokens outperformed other DeFi tokens since then?
let's see:
Right now, the Real Yield narrative is rarely mentioned on Twitter. The blue line in the figure below represents the number of Real Yield mentions on Twitter, and the green line is the ETH/USD price.

Here are the top deals ranked by fees and revenue. But what we really care about is the yield for token holders, which makes these protocols real Real Yield tokens. Top-ranked projects include $CAKE, $ GMX, $ SNX, $ CVX, $GNS, $LVL, $ CRV , and more.

The central question is: How have these protocols performed since the narrative began?
I checked the lowest prices for 2022. These prices are the catalyst for the emergence of a Real Yield narrative as the community seeks to purchase value tokens at discounted prices.
The answer is...not really.
Yes, Real Yield tokens like $RDNT, $GRAIL, $ GMX , and $GNS are doing really well, which leads us to believe that Real Yield is real.
But other Real Yield tokens like $ SNX, $ CRV , and $CVX underperformed non- Real Yield tokens.

$CAKE is an interesting case. It's falling. Generated the most fees for token stakers in the past 24 hours, but its price has continued to drop. So just being a Real Yield coin doesn't mean the coin will perform well.

Many other factors need to be assessed for a token's potential. For example:
• Token inflation;
• Other narratives;
• Project development;
• compete.
In short, for long-term investing, don't simply believe the narrative, but investigate a more holistic market perspective.
