Mixin Network, a decentralized wallet service, has temporarily suspended deposit and withdrawal services following attacks that caused approximately $200 million in losses.
In a post on X, Mixin Network said blockchain security firm SlowMist has stepped in to assist with the investigation.
SlowMist said in a separate post that the database of cloud service provider Mixin Network was attacked on Saturday.
“After discussion and consensus among all nodes, these services will be reopened once the vulnerabilities are confirmed and fixed. During this time, money transfers are not affected,” Mixin Chia , adding that founder Feng Xiaodong will explain the hack at a livestream today.
XIN, Mixin's native Token , fell sharply this morning following the announcement – down about 8% at the time of writing to $195, according to CoinGecko data.
